Measurement for Improvement

Primary care trusts are leading the local NHS to develop services that improve the health and wellbeing of their local communities. What should be one of the most powerful tools to help them to do this is clumsy, unwieldy and frustrating to use - data.

Almost 600 people, from around 100 NHS organisations, have joined us on a six month development programme entitled 'Turning data into information for improvement'. The programme is being led by Dr Robert Lloyd of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, one of the world’s foremost experts in the use of data for healthcare improvement, building on his previous influential work with the NHS.
