Veterans Support Organisations
The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion was founded in 1921 as a voice for the ex-Service community and their 555,000 members continue to ensure that this voice does not go unheard. Although the needs of ex-Service people have changed over the years, the legion is still there to safeguard their welfare, interests and memory.

SSAFA Forces Help
For the ex-Service community and their families, SSAFA Forces Help services include financial welfare and housing assistance, such as help applying for benefits or pensions, or getting funding for home adaptations and equipment for those in need, as well as guidance to solutions for other problems such as replacing stolen medals or tracing lost service buddies.

Service Personnel and Veterans' Agency
The formation of SPVA will gradually lead to the provision of a fully integrated set of ‘through life’ personnel services to our serving and veterans community - where a single contact with the Agency will grant access to customer information and advice on pay, pensions, compensation payments, records of service and medal entitlement.
