News Update
The introduction of AIS data is widening the way NAMESIS is used beyond the NCAGS requirements for which it was originally produced. A new concept involving multiple databases, rather than a single synchronised database, is being considered. This release fulfils NCAGS requirements and provides useful AIS functionality, however further changes to incorporate AIS need to be made. AIS will cause problems where two NCSUs acquire AIS signals from the same vessel within a database synchronisation cycle. Problems are likely to occur when Ship Data Cards are opened and AIS messages are being received.

Known Bugs
Program does not read IRCS and IMO number from its own GOLD messages. The Ship Data Card (SDC) cannot be completely filled in and saved because it would exceed the 2000 character limit permitted in Access 97 databases. Delete characters e.g. from comment fields if this occurs. This problem is unlikely to be encountered in practice. It is intended to move to Access 2000 compatibility in future to avoid this limit.
