Dockyard Port Of Plymouth  - Water Events Diary 2009

This year’s Water Events Diary has been produced as a pure information document containing only information directly associated with Water Events occurring within the Dockyard Port of Plymouth. The Diary is published on the Queen’s Harbour Master, Plymouth Website (details below) which is available and subject to ongoing development.  Copies of the Water Events Diary can be obtained by writing to QHM Facilities Manager, Longroom PCS, Stonehouse, Plymouth, PL1 3RT.

The Web site Diary will be amended to reflect any changes as they occur and separate amendments to the Diary will not be issued.  These reflect the changes that organisers of events on the waters of the Dockyard Port are sometimes obliged to make.  Similarly, new events can also be incorporated into the diary section.  Organisations should apply to the Deputy Queen’s Harbour Master at the Longroom Port Control Station to change existing events or to incorporate new events into the diary.

Appearance of a diary event in this publication means that it has the Queen’s Harbour Master’s approval to take place, but not that it has priority over any other activity on the water; nor does it give exemption from the Port regulations unless special dispensation is obtained.  All water users are reminded that, unless specifically amended by a Notice to Mariners or the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order, then the International Regulations for Preventing Collision at Sea (1972) are overriding.  Approval for any further events should be sought from the Deputy Queen’s Harbour Master, Longroom Port Control Station, Stonehouse, Plymouth PL1 3RT. (Tel:Plymouth 836485).
