Back at Last, but Not for Long

Me and The Cyclists

Its my first post in a while actually, appologies for that, there has been a lot happening since we arrived home from Deployment in August. There was of course the home coming which was brilliant all the families came to Plymouth to see us arrive home in style. Then we had 3 weeks well earned leave followed by a short peroid alongside, then back to sea for yet more trials and visits.

On October 23 my self and 3 other lads took the challenge of Cycling from Plymouth to Cardiff (225miles) in 3 days. It was a tough old challenge, let me tell you. i swore id never get on a bike again after the first day! my backside was killing, but we cracked on and made good of our cycle to meet the ship in at Cardiff.  It was done for Baytree school In Somerset which is affiliated to us.

During our stay in Cardiff i made the most of the time we had alongside and organised as much Adventourus Training as possbile for the ships company. We managed to get 35 people away for two days of Surfing, kayacking, rock climbing, Caving, surf Kayacking, absailing. It was such a good laugh but i had to admit after the cycle ride from Plymouth i was starting to feel a little rough around the edges :)
