Olympic Selection

At the start of this month I raced and won the final selection trial for the 4th year in a row. It is the last chance for the team to race each other in two man boats called pairs and gives the chief coach, Jürgen Grobler, the final piece of information he needs to select his Olympic crews.

He has a strategy each season depending on a lot of factors that determine which boat size he is going to prioritise.  This year he is going to put me and 3 other top athletes into the coxless four to give us the best chance of getting that gold medal. The 8-man crew is next in line followed by the pair.

I am really pleased to be in the top boat again, and we are on target to do what we need to this season. PeteReedSimpsons PeteReedRNSupport
