Palma Training

Training with the RN!Since my last blog it’s been full steam ahead for Team Clark.  We have done some great training on our own and with the squad in Weymouth.  This was rounded off with the first Spring Series event where, after only 3 weeks in the boat, we were extremely please to finish a very close second.  Straight after the event we loaded our boat up and shipped out to Palma for some warmer weather training in preparation for our first international event there in Apr.  The training has gone extremely well and with good weather we have really been able to maximise our time on the water.  There have also been several international boats out here enabling some good training racing to take place alongside our normal speed work and boat handling practice.  After a pretty intensive period we are now taking a couple of days off before starting the build up to the event.  We are both really enjoying the new challenges that we are facing and are excited about what the future holds.  The team work is coming along great and every day we are learning huge amounts which is extremely satisfying.  We now have to maintain the tempo and keep the learning curve as steep as possible to enable us to achieve our goals at the end of the year.
