The Dental Department at RNAS Yeovilton set themselves the daunting task of running for 24 hours on the treadmill to help raise money for Major Phil Packer’s MILLION. Phil was seriously injured in February in Iraq and is now in a wheelchair – he has set himself the goal of raising £1,000,000 for Help for Heroes by April 2009 when he will undertake the London Marathon.

The Treadmill Challenge was undertaken by military establishments nationwide, and in Iraq and Afhanistan, who “raced” against each other for 24 hours. The Yeovilton Team, the Heron Hill Billies” was led by the Senior Dental Surgeon, Commander Mel Oura, and the Team ran an impressive 105 miles raising over £1500.
