Short Term Family Accommodation (STFA) in Plymouth
Where is it?
Short Term Family Accommodation (STFA) is a Naval community resource, and comprises of Family Quarters situated in the Hunter Close area of Crownhill, Plymouth.
What is it like?
All accommodation is fully furnished and equipped, and maintained to a high standard. Electrical items include TV / video, microwave, fridge and the usual small appliances. All bed linen is provided and you only need to bring your own personal towels, cleaning products and food. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and payphone facility for your use.
How big is it?
All nineteen houses are three-bedded. Gas-centrally heated, comprising of a hall, lounge, kitchen-diner, downstairs toilet, bathroom and three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds and the third with one single bed. All properties have a garden and there is parking on-site.
How much is it?
Currently, a house is £34.50 per day. These charges are based on the actual number of nights the accommodation is occupied, and inclusive of electricity and gas.
Where to find SFA?
The accommodation is approximately five minutes drive from the Manadon / Tavistock turn off from the A38 Parkway (maps available from the office). They are close to HMS DRAKE and convenient for HMS RALEIGH and RM BICKLEIGH. There are local shops and the Crownhill Naval Community Centre is close by.
What else is there?
STFA is well placed as a base to make visits to Dartmoor National Park, East Cornwall and - further afield - to Truro, Newquay, Torbay and Exeter.
