info More Information: Playdayz 2008 - Hilsea Community Centre Every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday in August

Volunteers Wanted: Our Young People Need You!!
All the youth groups that run are possible only because we have a team of willing and dedicated VOLUNTEERS. They give generously of their time, energy and ideas so that children and young people can meet once a week for fun, games, education and a safe place to meet their friends.

HOWEVER… this is where we need your help. In order to support these volunteers and ensure that the groups open when we have a volunteer off sick or on their own holidays we need additional helpers on a weekly or rota basis. If we don't have the adequate numbers of adults to supervise the children, then we are in danger of closing groups. So any parents, grandparents or other members of the community out there - WE NEED YOU NOW!!

WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO HELP OUT FOR A FEW HOURS? CAN YOU DRIVE A MINIBUS? WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO HELP WITH OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES???

We have youth groups running in Hilsea (Jo Woods - Leader); Eastney (Maria King and Sandra Tiller - Leaders), Rowner (Kim Dale, Sharon Paine and Adam Adaway - Leaders). The Youth Leaders of each of the groups would be happy for you to visit their groups to see what goes on and the Youth Development Worker will arrange this. We also have Youth Football teams at Hilsea and Rowner.

Training (for those interested in gaining a youth work qualification) is available and all those who apply will be required to have a CRB check (at no cost to the volunteer).

If you think you can help us please contact:
