This Policy applies to all personal information collected by RNcom or submitted by you via the website. By using the Royal Navy Community Website you acknowledge that you have read and accept the terms of this Policy and you consent to the use of your personal information as set out in this Policy.
RNcom may collect and use your personal information in order to register you as a user of the RNcom members area and to administer the accounts you have with RNcom to contact you by, email or telephone to ask you to confirm/amend the information we hold on you and to provide you with a user name and password.
The information collected about you by RNcom may include: your name, user name and password, email address, telephone number, date of birth and user session history. Please note that not all of this information is mandatory.
RNcom will obtain most of your personal information during the registration process but will also collect some of your personal information each time you use the Members area.
If you have indicated to such effect, you agree that RNcom may from time to time send you news and information; this may include messages and updates from ships, online surveys and important deployment information. Should you no longer wish to receive such news and information, you should e-mail the Webmaster.
RNcom will not share your personal information with third parties.
RNcom will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to comply with the permitted purposes and to comply with our legal and regulatory requirements. In the event that you close your RNcom account, or your account is terminated, your personal information may be archived but may still be accessible.

In addition, RNcom has put in place encryption controls to seek to ensure that the processing by RNcom of your personal information is secure so as to prevent unauthorised access.

You may correct factual errors in your personal information by sending us a request detailing the error. To protect your privacy and security, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your information or making the requested alterations.
