The Trevorder Families' Centre is open to all members of the Armed Forces, MOD Employees and their families. Honorary membership is also available to ex-Service people who live locally. Some sessions are available to hire for parties and special occasions.

As well as trying to provide a warm and welcoming venue for families to meet, gain mutual support and have fun, our aim is to offer a comprehensive and balanced range, of both daytime and evening activities that cater for the needs of all our users.

Regular trips, outings and activities are arranged throughout the year, through projects such as Families and Friends of Deployed Units, and the Anchor Group for Service families who have children with special needs. During the summer, there is always a Family Day Out and a 'Summer Scheme' for children and young people. Through the week, we have the Parent and Toddler Group and a Mums Only Group - the VISTA Group - for the visually impaired.

We have a thriving Youth Group, which is run by dedicated and professionally qualified workers. The excellent programme provides activities that introduce the young people to new experiences, informal education and lots of fun!

The Pre-School Learning Centre offers children aged 2 to 4 years good quality childcare and early education in a happy and safe environment. A number of qualified and experienced staff fun the facility, which has passed many an OFSTED inspection, allowing the Pre-School to increase its provision.

In addition to this, Trevorder Families' Centre plays host to a Community Support Group for people who are blind or partially sighted, Careers Advice Clinics and a range of other community projects. The Centre has a management committee of hardworking volunteers, who give up their own time to arrange activities, functions and raise funds for the Centre. Events include family discos, live entertainment evenings and seasonal parties for Halloween and Christmas. The Centre provides a range of activities during the day and night, so if you would like any more information, please feel welcome to call for the NPFS Community Worker, Sara Parsons.
