Anchor Support Group - 2005
The Anchor Support Group exists to offer support to service and ex-service families who have a child who has additional needs.
Each year we organise a range of activities and events which involve the whole family. Every month we have a coffee morning at Radford Family Centre in Plymstock and a monthly Saturday Club for the children and their siblings (aged 4-12) at Alexandra House in Plymouth. We organise several activity days for the children and their families over the school holidays and the summer. These include a family trip to a theme park, a day out to a special needs riding centre, fun days, Saturday clubs and sleepovers.

The Anchor Support Group is run entirely by volunteers with support from Naval Personal and Family Service staff. Qualified childcare workers from Alexandra House staff all of our Saturday clubs.
We are funded purely by donations from local organisations, ship’s companies such as HMS Campbeltown, other generous groups and our own fundraising.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the group or finding out more contact Sara Parsons on 812399.
