Where is it?
Short Term Family Accommodation (STFA) is a Naval community resource, and comprises of Family Quarters situated in the Kent Court area of Churchill, Helensburgh G84 9RW.
What is it like?
All accommodation is fully furnished and equipped, and maintained to a high standard. Electrical items include TV, microwave, fridge and the usual small appliances. All bed linen is provided and you only need to bring your own personal towels, cleaning products and food.
How big is it?
All seventeen houses are three-bedded with gas central heating, and comprise of a hall, lounge, kitchen-diner, toilets, bathroom and three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds and the third with one single bed. All properties have a garden and there is parking on site.

These charges are based on the actual number of nights the accommodation is occupied, and inclusive of electricity and gas.
Where to find STFA
The accommodation is approximately five minutes drive from the centre of Helensburgh which is about six miles from HMNB Clyde. Maps are available from NPFS/RMW Advice Service Office on 01436 679526 or HIVE on 678029. There is a local SPAR shop and also a Naval Families Club, the Drumfork Club close by. Temporary membership of the Club is included in the price.
What else is there?
STFA is well placed, being only a few miles from the shores of Loch Lomond within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park ( www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/). The area has much to keep you entertained with high quality Golf Clubs, fishing, climbing, hill-walking and shopping and exciting places to visit including, Charles Rennie Macintosh’s Hill House, the Waverley Paddle Steamer, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Fort William, Scotland’s M&D Theme Park at Strathclyde Park near Glasgow and Blair Drummond Safari Park near Stirling.

All service personnel can make bookings for themselves and/or their immediate families. Subject to availability, MOD Civilians and ex-service personnel are also eligible to use the facility.
