Ship RN Recognised Sea Scouts Summer Camp
The Summer Camp centrepiece is HMS BRISTOL berthed alongside HMS EXCELLENT at Portsmouth. The 150 Sea Scouts and 60 Leaders from 24 Groups live in and experience shipborne life for the week. This "taster camp" includes Off Shore Sailing, Dingy sailing, Paddling, Trekking in the South Downs, Heritage Area Visits, Action Stations, Power Boating, GPS Trail, Leadership Skills and that's just the Forenoons!

RN Recognised Sea Scouts Soccer Sixes Competition
The "Soccer Sixes" is based in HMS BRISTOL and uses the excellent HMS EXCELLENT sporting facilities. 14 Groups send 2 squads of 8 with accompanying Leaders to Portsmouth for a goal packed weekend of close competition for Cups and Plates. The penalty shoot out competition especially tests their metal under pressure. Royal Navy and Scout Association Referees rule the roost and sportsmanship is the order of the day.

swimmingRN Recognised Sea Scouts Swimming Gala
This Gala is run at HMS RALEIGH the Royal Navy's New Entry Training establishment at Torpoint in the West Country. Each Year over 200 Sea Scouts and 60 Leaders from over 24 Groups make the trek to Cornwall to compete for the Otter Trophy. This trophy has been swum for since 1910 and the list of Winners is like a "Who's Who" in Scouting.

RN Recognised Sea Explorer Camp
This camp is held onboard HMS BRISTOL each Autumn.  Up to 120 Explorer Scouts, supported by 60 Leaders, experience a variety of activities including kayaking, dinghy sailing, powerboating, mountain biking and a 'naval activity day'.  Each activity will stretch those involved whether they have no previous experience or are 'experts'.  Additionally there is opportunity for some to gain nationally recognised qualification such as competent crew and in powerboating.'
