NPFS West At Devonport
There are two teams within the main office at Devonport. All initial enquiries are handled by the Intake Team, who will deal with your referral if it is of a short term nature. Should your situation require ongoing support, your referral can be allocated to one of the members of the Long Term Team.
Teams are made up of trained and qualified staff, with service and civilian backgrounds. Devonport also employ 3 Family Support Workers who are available to provide practical and emotional support within the home, to spouses and children of naval personnel. Our sub office at RNAS Yeovilton is staffed full time. It enables Yeovilton personnel and their families in the locality easier access to NPFS services.

Royal Marine Welfare
Each RM unit has a welfare officer co-located with the unit. They provide a similar service to NPFS and are a mixture of Service and civilian staff. Welfare staff are based at all the Commando Units and a full list with contact details can be obtained via the link below:

Social Work - Types Of Work Undertaken
All these Social Work teams can offer direct, or in conjunction with other agencies, advice, counselling, support (practical or emotional) and advocacy on behalf of service-users.

If we are not able to directly help we are often able to provide information and access to an alternative local or national Civilian or Services source of support relevant to your concerns.
