Royal Navy Task Group Flexes Its Muscles in the Mediterranean

Under the clear blue skies of the Mediterranean, the eleven ships of the Royal Navy’s TAURUS 09 deployment line up, in a rare display of might.

Flagship, the amphibious ship HMS Bulwark led the Task Group through the Med, towards the final stages of part one of this deployment.

As the line up came to an end, the Task Group waved goodbye to French navy ship Dupleix, which leaves us after a successful three week integration period. The French crew lined the decks as Dupleix was piped past HMS Bulwark, watched over by Task Group Commander, Commodore Peter Hudson CBE ADC, Royal Navy.

The Task Group is now heading for our next Operational Stand Down before continuing exercises in the Mediterranean.
