The Royal Marines Reserve is divided into five main RMR Units. Each RMR Unit may then further divided into RMR Detachments. Each RMR Unit is responsible for recruiting, selecting and training the volunteers drawn from their area.

Should you wish to enquire about joining the RMR in your area, please feel free to contact your local RMR unit if you wish to ask questions about any aspect of the RMR.

Setting Your Sights

Hopefully you will have read about what the Royal Marines Reserve would ask of you and what we offer in return. Now it's up to you to decide if it is the right move for you. Not an easy decision. So we offer the opportunity for you to seek further guidance from someone who can advise you from first hand experience.

Please contact the Recruiting Officer at your local RMR Unit or a local Armed Forces Career Office; they will be pleased to talk over your plans with you to reach a decision. They will not pressurise you to join - after all it's in both our interests that you make the right choice.
