Lacrosse is a new but rapidly growing sport in the Royal Navy with a squad of over 20 players.  We play all forms including Men’s, Ladies’ and Mixed lacrosse.  With a men’s team playing regular fixtures around the country against military and civilian sides the sport has become very popular thanks to its fast pace and aggressive action.  We enter tournaments around the country including the Bath and Stockport 8s and also play against the other Services in the annual Services’ Festival of Lacrosse.  In July 2009, the Royal Navy will be hosting the Festival of Lacrosse at HMS Temeraire in Portsmouth.  Those who wish to further enhance their lacrosse skills can undertake coaching and refereeing qualifications.

For the best players, there is the opportunity to be selected for the Combined Services team who will be entering the internal festival at the Lacrosse World Championships to be held in Manchester in 2010.

Beginners are always welcome and all kit and coaching is provided free of charge.  For more information regarding Royal Navy Lacrosse Association please contact Lt Dan Weil RN at daniel.weil568@mod.uk.
