The Productive Community Hospital goes Live!

Two national events take place in September and October to promote Releasing Time to Care - The Productive Community Hospital: the latest innovative programme of work from the NHS Institute's productive series.

The Productive Community Hospital provides the tools and techniques to help frontline staff cut waste and release more time to care, helping to drive up quality, improve safety, and increase patient - and staff - satisfaction.

Early results from the pilot show:

  • staff time with patients increased by 20 per cent
  • a 40 per cent reduction in did not attend (DNA) rates

Working through a series of tailored modules, community hospital staff will be equipped to achieve great results for patients and staff using the latest evidence-based approaches, empowering frontline staff to make the most of hospital time and resources.

The conferences, held in association with the Nursing Times, will provide delegates with a chance to hear directly from community hospitals that have piloted The Productive Community Hospital. Delegates will also gain an understanding of how patients have benefited from this unique approach.

The events take place:
25th September 2008 - NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, University of Warwick, Coventry
22nd October 2008 - Bristol Marriott City Centre, Bristol
