Follow the progress of two trusts on the LIPS programme

The George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Nuneaton and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust have both embarked on the Leading Improvement in Patient Safety (LIPS) programme.  The George Eliot Hospital attended the inaugural, LIPS I launch event in October 2007 and Leeds is part of the LIPS II programme, which started in mid May 2008.  Both hospitals came away from the initial meetings inspired and committed to improving patient safety using the LIPS programme.

In a bid to raise awareness of the programme in a very practical and accessible way, both trusts have agreed to share their improving patient safety journeys over the next six months.  As they tackle the hugely complex and challenging patient safety arena within their hospitals, we will be documenting their journey on these web pages, using film, photographs and commentary.
