What the LIPS programme involves

The Leading Improvement in Patient Safety (LIPS) programme is divided into two parts

The EQSA is a two-day event held at the beginning of the programme for chief executives and their executive/non-executive teams.  Trusts develop a clear, deliverable patient safety improvement strategy for their organisation over the two days.

The LIPS core modules are run over a five-day period.  They are designed to help medical and nursing directors, senior clinicians and patients safety managers develop the capability to lead improvement in patient safety in their trusts.
