Quantitative social science

The UK funding bodies and the Economic and Social Research Council are now working in partnership following the designation of quantitative social science as a strategically important and vulnerable subject. This combined work aims to support the development of advanced quantitative methods in quantitative social science.

HEFCE will contribute up to 4 million towards a range of initiatives from developing interest at school level, undergraduate curricula development, support for quantitative social science masters programmes, and supporting high-quality research and methods training throughout the UK.

Further information can be obtained from Jenni Rogers, e-mail j.rogers@hefce.ac.uk.
