Policing within C Division (covering the area of East Riding of Yorkshire)

Welcome to C Division

The East Riding of Yorkshire is a large rural division covering over 933 square miles, making it one the largest rural divisions in the country.

With that geographical size, and a population of 319,000 residents, come some unique and challenging policing issues.

Neighbourhood Policing in C Division

Humberside Police is committed to delivering a high quality of service to local people driven by local need.

Neighbourhood Policing is aimed at solving problems in communities by providing local policing services that ensure the right people are in the right places, in the right numbers, in order to create neighbourhoods that are safe and feel safe.

It is not about the police working alone, it focuses on officers working with the local authority, partner agencies and the community to address problems.
