been updated. Users subscribe to feeds and are notified when new content is added
to a web site.

added. Among the websites that provide this service are Google and Yahoo!

Widget (MacOS X) uses web feeds to list details of Tate exhibitions and events.
The way to subscribe to a feed depends on the specific application
you are using, but essentially involves transferring the URL of the feed to the
feed reader.
