Talk by David Linley

Fri 18 May
19.15 - 20.05
Lecture Theatre
James ‘Athenian’ Stuart (1713-88) was an architect who designed and painted interiors that he completed with furniture, while David Linley has come to interior design via the discipline of furniture making, developing a uniquely eclectic style. Some of Linley’s current furniture pays homage to the Greek Revival style pioneered by Stuart, with a contemporary twist. This talk will cover the development of Linley’s furniture and interior design business. David Linley will be introduced by Julius Bryant, Keeper of the V&A’s Word and Image Department.

Tickets: £10. Concessions: £8 senior citizens; £6 disabled people, ES40 holders and students. A free place can be offered to a carer accompanying a disabled person.
