The V&A has been showing architecture since
its foundation and its collection ranges from
drawings and photographs to whole rooms.
Now the V&A is collaborating with the Royal
Institute of British Architects, to bring the RIBA's
extraordinary collection of drawings, manuscripts
and models to the V&A. This partnership will
create the world's most comprehensive
Marking the centenary of the founding of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), this exhibition celebrates the importance of engineering in creating some of the most iconic buildings of the past 100 years. The exhibition will also Include talks and tours.
This day celebrates the London Festival of Architecture 2008. An opportunity to meet curators, hear talks and view highlights from the V&A and the RIBA's Drawings and Archives collections, join an architectural tour and take a 'fresh look' at the V&A, or take a 'fresh look' architectural walk along Exhibition Road.
Completed in 2007, this building brought together two existing Arup offices in the West Midlands in a convenient business park location in Solihull. The model, made by Andrew Ingham in 2007 and on loan from Arup Associates, can be viewed in the Architecture Gallery.
