Cyclone Jaya kills 3
10 Apr 2007
Three people have died after a cyclone struck northern Madagascar, reports Reuters on April 10th.
The news provider quotes prime minister Charles Rabemananjara as saying that Cyclone Jaya flattened homes and destroyed numerous crop plantations.
A fundraising drive has been set up to help victims in places such as Sambava, half of which was said to be "devastated".
This comes only weeks after the country was hit by Cyclone Indlala, in which 80 people were killed.
