Tour Guide Training Programme at Headstone Manor

The Tour Guide Training Programme at Headstone Manor is an initiative to develop a resource enabling staff and volunteers to attend training sessions in order to enhance the quality, frequency and delivery of guided tours at the Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre. The tours will vastly expand the use of the existing historical buildings in order to significantly improve the visitor experience. Headstone Manor Grounds will be opened to the public, for the first time in two years, in April 2003 due to an ongoing restoration project on the Manor House. Through this training resource, staff will be fully informed of the progress to The Manor's restoration work, have a clear understanding of the site's history, a working knowledge of the collection on display and be able to run short tours for group based on the temporary exhibitions.
