An independent web site supported by the Government has been set up to allow the public an additional means of providing the Government with feedback on the proposals within the Freedom of Information White Paper. The web site features a wealth of useful background information, press comment and interactive discussion fora. The web site is managed by UK Citizens' Online Democracy, a non-partisan, not for profit organisation that promotes public education and participation in the democratic process. Submissions in response to the White Paper "Your Right to know" are available on the "Informing Government" area of this website. (Unless respondents gave clear instructions that their comments should be treated in confidence.)
