Information Standards Board for Health and Social Care
Changes to the role of ISB
New national governance arrangements for information standards, data collections and data extractions came into effect on 1 April 2014.
On this date the Standardisation Committee for Care Information (SCCI) took over responsibilities from the Information Standards Board for Health and Social Care (ISB),
SCCI is a sub-group of the National Information Board (NIB).
The ISB websiteInformation standards continued to be published here on the ISB website until 31 December 2014, since when they have been published on the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) website.
This ISB website is no longer updated. Arrangements are in hand to transfer the site for preservation by The National Archives where it will remain for historic evidence. It is expected that this transfer wil be effected no later than 31 March 2015 and a banner across the top of each page will indicate that this has taken place.
This ISB website has been managed by the SCCI Publication and Notification Service at the HSCIC. For any questions about its content, please contact scci@hscic.gov.uk.
Please note
- A history of the ISB is available on this website - http://www.isb.nhs.uk/about/history. ISB existed between 2001 and 2014.
- All Data Set Change Notices and Information Standards Notices will continue to be accessible via this website; those that were not current (as at 31 December 2014) have been marked as "Withdrawn".
