This consultation is about the calculation and distribution of the two capital block grants that the Department for Transport allocates by formula to local transport authorities in England outside London. The grants are the Integrated Transport Block - capital funding for small transport improvement schemes - and Highways Maintenance Block - capital funding for maintenance schemes.

Consultation on draft regulations which amend the Motor Fuel Regulations 1999 to implement European Directive 2009/30/EC with respect to Fuel Quality
The documents describe and invite comments on the Government’s proposals to implement EU Directive 2009/30/EC which sets new environmental standards for fuel used in road vehicles, non-road mobile machinery and recreational craft. Increasing the uptake of eco-driving training for drivers of LGVs and PCVs
The DfT is considering options to achieve a 90 per cent uptake of eco-driving training for drivers of Large Goods Vehicles (LGVs) and this consultation document invites views that will help inform this. It also considers whether a similar approach should be adopted for drivers of Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCVs). The EC Air Services Regulation: consultation on pricing enforcement regime and leasing appeals

Amendment to the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice Consultation
The Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice sets the statutory minimum requirements to ensure that all road users and operatives at sites remain safe when works are taking place. The proposed changes would make the code statutory for local authorities as well as utilities, set new standards for equipment, and ensure greater consistency with other legislation, such as Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, 2005 Disability Discrimination Act, and 2007 Corporate Manslaughter Act.

The Future of the Abbey Line
The Department for Transport (DfT) and Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) want to increase the frequency of services on the route between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey in Hertfordshire (the ‘Abbey Line’). Consultation on proposed amendment to the Civil Aviation Regulations 2004
On 13 April 2004 the Civil Aviation (Working Time) Regulations 2004 entered into force, transposing the provisions of Council Directive 2000/79/EC on the organisation of working time for mobile workers in civil aviation into UK legislation. One of the key elements of this new social measure was the establishment of an annual working time limit of 2,000 hours for aircrew, which includes all of their time spent on standby duty.

Consultation on Nationally significant Rail Infrastructure projects: designation of Approved Operators
Consultation on a draft Order which designates Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd and Network Rail(CTRL) Ltd as approved operators for the purposes of the Planning Act 2008.
