Learning and Skills Council
The Learning and Skills Council exists to make England better skilled and more competitive.
We have a single goal: to improve the skills of England’s young people and adults to ensure we have a workforce of world-class standard.

NCF Consultation
The National Commissioning Framework (NCF) will set out the core systems for planning, commissioning, procuring and funding for the education and training for 16-19 year olds, young people up to age 25 where a learning difficulty assessment is in place, and young offenders in youth custody.
A draft version of the full NCF has been published for consultation. The consultation will run until 17:00 on 5 February 2010 and can be found at: http://publications.dcsf.gov.uk/default.aspx?DCSF-00933-2009. The final version will be published by the Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) in April 2010.
Following the success of last year, Colleges Week 2009 is up and running and takes place between the 9-15 November.
