The M+W Group is committed to the health and wellbeing of all employees and is launching a ‘Workplace Health & Wellbeing Programme’ in November 2014.
The programme is designed to engage with employees and their families on a range of health and wellbeing issues on a quarterly basis. It is aimed to raise awareness on issues such as smoking cessation, healthy eating, physical activity, alcohol and substance misuse, cancer awareness and emotional wellbeing.
‘Health & Wellbeing Bulletins’ will be distributed via employee emails and will be displayed on our workplace notice boards throughout our office locations and construction projects. In this manner we aim to engage with both M+W employees and our supply chain.
The programme will offer practical information and signpost to useful websites and smartphone apps such as NHS Choices, prompting people to take part in various assessments including the NHS LifeCheck.
M+W will continue to provide occupational health screening to employees on an activity risk basis and will actively monitor our supply chain to ensure any legally required health surveillance is provided to their workforce.
M+W believes that nurturing health conscious employees and healthy workforces will produce long-term welfare benefits for individual people, the Company and the UK economy.
