1 January, 2013
Submitted: 13 April, 2015
Please describe the progress you have made on alcohol labelling, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
We continue to contact our suppliers (existing and new) with details of the labelling guidelines and a copy of the logo that is required to be on the back label. The label, based on the government’s preferred format, includes unit information, NHS drinking guidelines and pregnancy warnings.
We continue to check every bottle that comes into our depot and have a system in place to log which wines have the label. Over the last 12 months, we have also conducted in-store checks.
Over the last 12 months, we have increased the number of products with the preferred label. The vast majority of our products now have this label. As checked on 9th April 2015, 878 lines contain all 3 elements (unit information, NHS drinking guidelines and pregnancy warning).
