Legal & General has an all encompassing and growing Health and Wellbeing programme.
We launched a new visual identity for Health and Wellbeing and a new intranet site in May 2013 . My Money, My Life, My Health are the three areas that enable us to deliver instantly recognisable messages to employees on health, money and life matters.
Wellbeing and You, enables us to communicate with employees about what they they want, capture stories and case studies from employees about what they are doing and sharing ideas and successess.
We launched an innovative Health Living on-line health assessment tool in June which allows staff to assess monitor and improve their health.
We conduct a What Matters employee survey each year which asks employees questions about their wellbeing
We have in house occupational heatlth service together with an employee assistance programme available to all employees
in 2012 we were listed in the Sunday Times Top 25 Companies to work for and our aim is to improve this year.
We submitted our report to BITC Workwell programme for employee engagement and Wellbeing for 2012 and plan to do so for 2013.
We have committed to the Time to Change Pledge run jointly by Mind and Rethink and will run an internal campaign in October 2013 promoting awareness and the support that L&G offers employees such as stress awareness, resilience workshops and CBT's
We offer staff a range of options to helpour employees improve their health andwellbeing including:
- Discounted gym memberships, sports and social clubs
- wellbeing days at our office locations
- working with local charities and CSR partners
- Formation of the Legal & General Choir as singing is an activity proven to improving health and wellbeing
Legal & General will continue to be innovative in this area as an integral part of our culture and critical to our continued success.
