The health and wellbeing of a company’s employees is of the utmost importance. As a SEQOHS accredited company, we deliver a high level of service to our clients and so wish to deliver a similar service to our own employees. By signing up to the Responsibility Deal, Express Medicals is making a statement of intent to improve the health of our employees.
Raising the profile of health is fundamental to the success of this project. The more knowledge that employees have, the more they are empowered to take responsibility for their own health. We expect to benefit in the longer term from less sickness absence and more productive working days.
A wellbeing calendar has been implemented whereby monthly health awareness campaigns will be carried out. These campaigns are an important component of the health promotion activities within the company and are set out to educate staff on a variety of topics.
Campaigns will be delivered through monthly newsletters called WorkHealth Matters, health promotion days, leaflets, posters and podcasts. A health and wellbeing policy will be implemented to further sustain this initiative. Annual activity on the health promotion activities will be reported on.
