Please describe the programme you have in place:
We have reported our commitment and progress in our annual Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR) 2014 which is available on our website. We also reported updates to the Board of our progress throughout the year and continue to do so.
We have a dedicated SEQOHS partner in the UK and dedicated OHS service provision in each of the European countries in which we operate.
In 2014, SEGRO employees volunteered for community and fundraising activities as part of our Summer of Sport 2014, namely:
• JLL Property Triathlon
• JLL Property 5km Run
• Land Aid 10km Run
• JLL Property Volley ball match
• IAS Football Match
• IAS Cycle challenge
• Paris Heroes Race
There were also some changes to office layouts across the Business to encourage a more collaborative and healthy environment, with showers, bike racks, staff restaurants and kitchens that promote healthy food options.
We also launched an online tool called MyWellbeingCheck through our SEQOHS partners to all employees across the Group. This questionnaire covers the following health topics:
• Alcohol consumption
The results from the questionnaire provide an overall wellbeing score and can be completed monthly to show progress as well as providing guidance on how to improve the health score. The overall statistics can be monitored by country / department and can be monitored by country / department and can be used to provide further training and events to promote this initiative.
We engaged with over 130 construction suppliers across the UK and 7 European countries to discuss safety, but also occupational health and the Responsibility Deal. In particular, this highlighted respirable dusts, sun exposure, healthy eating options and the European Health and Safety Week on Stress. We also modified our procurement questionnaire to include details regarding the Responsibility Deal to demonstrate that suppliers have procedures to endorse health and wellbeing initiatives.
