The provision of healthier food in all food delivery channels has been incorporated into a bigger project we are working on with Sodexo. The wider project aims to embed energy and resilience culture in GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in the provision of food and the H6 pledge has been incorporated into this. The timeline of actions to deliver across the UK are as follows:Signage and education to support nutritional energy and resilience messages (Q1 2012).GDA and calories for foods in cafeterias and hospitality (pilot site followed by implementation throughout 2012).Reformulate recipes to provide low salt, energy foods (Q2/3 2012)).Energy and Resilience endorsed meals set as default offering for hospitality (Q1 2012)Availability of health, energy snacks/meals in vending machines (commencing Q2 2012).Provision and promotion of healthy, energy food through availability and pricing incentives (ongoing for 2012).Water is already provided in all cafeterias, and drink service stations throughout all UK sites. Salt has been removed from tables in the cafeterias. Annual customer satisfaction surveys are distributed by Sodexo and questions will be incorporated in to this to evaluate the impact of any changes. We will also be able to review Sodexo data on purchasing trends.
