H6. Staff Health Checks

How many of your employees have used the staff health check offer? If unknown, please explain why.
This year GLD offered a health screen service to staff including 23 daily sessions across 4 GLD locations. In total there were 259 screens conducted in February and March. This service is offered bi-annually and is supported by an in-house provision of a GP service on a monthly basis, annual flu jabs and all staff have access to a professional and confidential telephone counselling service via GLD’s Employee Assistance Programme provider.
Workstation assessments are carried out to check that staff have the correct equipment to ensure that they are able to work comfortably without causing potential injury. In the 12 month period up until September 2014, 87 workstation assessments were carried out within the Department.
