Heathrow already has a number of solutions to promote physical activity in the workplace

Appropriate facilities to support physical activity, for example lockers and changing rooms
Discounts at local health clubs
Weekly stretching sessions for terminal security staff
Partnerships with local hotels using facilities to run exercise classes for example Salsa

Heathrow plans to increase the degree of physical activity in the workplace and has a plan to review whether the below are options as part of our broader plans:

1. The introduction of morning/evening running groups

6. Expansion of reward and recognition initiatives to include more sports centres

7. Review of mechanisms to promote engagement in physical activity in the workplace, for example competitions for most kilometres walked

8. Promotion of use of stairs in line with safety principles
