H8. Young People in the Workplace
6 February, 2014
Submitted: 30 November, -0001
Please describe how you have provided information and support on health and wellbeing for young people in your organisation over the last year. This may include information on any induction arrangements for new staff/young people and any benefits that have accrued. There is a 2000-character limit when completing this section.
All our young employees have access to the health knowledge programme events and health initiatives provided as part of Health EY. In addition to these events, we incorporated resilience training into the induction programme for our graduate population. The purpose of this training was to provide our graduates with coping strategies for their health and wellbeing, and to support them in the transition from university to the workplace.
Many of our young employees participate in the sport related events funded by EY. We have continued to promote the profile of our sports clubs and now have 13 different sports clubs funded by EY with over 1000 members. In addition, EY facilitates and funds numerous sport specific tournaments and additional sporting events such as the World Corporate Games and the JP Morgan run.
In 2014 we also launched our independent charity, EY Foundation which aims to create and support pathways for disadvantaged young people into education, employment and enterprise.
