3. Arrangements to develop a programme to actively promote health and wellbeing and the effective management of health. (Where relevant)
4. Encouraging your supply chain and sub-contractors to endorse one of the listed actions on health and wellbeing.

Please describe the programme you have in place:

Express Medicals Ltd have completed our first wellbeing campaign and addressed the following topics; Love your liver ; Cancer; health screen checks for staff; Allergy; walk to work; Sun awareness; get active; mental health; Stress. In doing so we have raised awareness within the company of the key health issues that affect us all in our daily lives. Our wellbeing/ stress survey is in progress now and awaiting participation and results. In line with SEQOHS standards all staff have an annual appraisal and that their personal development plans for continuing professional development meet the needs of the staff member. With regards to employee health we do: Pre-placement health questionnaire Hep B status for nurses DSE assessments for staff at a permanent workstation Wellbeing survey All staff are kept informed via internal newsletters, regular staff meetings and email updates as changes occur. Staff are actively involved in business changes that may impact their working lives. These methods have opened up communication channels within the business, putting specific focus on the health & wellbeing of workers in a more structured & formal way, which is now reflected in management of staff and the employee handbook while striving to manage absence more effectively. Express Medicals has a documented procedure and policy for the selection and periodic review of suppliers and subcontractors. The objective is to establish mutually beneficial relationships with companies who have a similar ethos. The criteria for approval of suppliers and subcontractors can be summarised as follows: Encourage a selection of small, SME and large companies to tender for contracts Encourage the use of local suppliers and subcontractors where possible Encourage suppliers and subcontractors to supply environmentally preferable goods and services in line with a sustainable framework Strive to ensure that suppliers conduct their operations with regards health, safety and wellbeing of all.
