Hull City Council
S1. Local engagement on the Responsibility Deal agenda
3 February, 2014
Submitted: 3 February, 2014
The Hull Responsibility Deal was launched in February 2014, providing pledges which compliment the national DoH pledges, aimed at improving the health of both employees and customers.
Those that have been successful in obtaining an existing local responsible business award shall be eligible. Increasing the number of pledges for the Hull Responsibility Deal will, in turn, support and grow the existing award schemes that are operating within Hull. To be recognised as one of Hulls Responsible Businesses, the business/organisation can either make a local pledge or be a DoH national or local partner. Recognition of business/organisational commitments will be publicised on our dedicated website.
In the first year of becoming a Responsibility Deal Partner, we aim to achieve 500 ‘responsible businesses’ signing up to the local scheme.
We are seeking other new and existing local projects that we can contribute to and at the same time can complement The Hull Responsibility Deal
The scheme is running and available to businesses/organisations within the city, however further work is scheduled. The website will feature partners who have the award but will also provide the facility for new partners to access and make pledges online.
Responsible businesses are asked to inform us annually on the progress made towards their pledges and how they are going to take their chosen pledges forward in the following year. We shall ourselves report annually on our progress of the Hull Responsibility Deal.
