Queen Mary University, and therefore CASH, is working to reduce the barriers that exclude people who have disabilities. These barriers can be:Little or no access to information and buildings. The way things are organised and run.Prejudice and stereotypes. As such, we are able to pledge that people employed within CASH with chronic conditions are managed in the best way possible. We are able to offer flexible working hours to enable ease of staff getting in to work, and working from home if required. Queen Mary University is happy to take responsibility for making appropriate workplace adjustments for those with chronic diseases. We also provide links to the NHS website for all staff. We discuss health and wellbeing issues during the annual staff appraisals and the quarterly reviews, which provide a great opportunity for staff to share any health problems, in confidence.
