A4. Tackling Under-Age Alcohol Sales

Please describe your work to reduce and prevent under-age sales of alcohol, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
M&S operates a strict Challenge 25 policy in all of our stores. We have six monthly Age Restricted Sales refresher training for customer assistants. A programme is in place to rectify any issues that arise from this training.
All age restricted products are flagged by a till prompt when scanned and we also have an online refusal log which captures refusals through the till.
We also use an external supplier to carry out test purchases across selected stores at various times of the year.
