At 3663 we recognise that we have a vital role to play in improving peoples health, and are keen to continue further salt reduction work to help achieve the public health goal of consuming no more than 6g of salt per person per day.As such we are pledging that by the end of 2012, 50% of own brand products will meet the Government 2012 salt targets. We will aim to increase this over time and report on progress year on year:We will aim to reformulate own brand products that are very close to meeting salt 2012 targets, by November 2012.We have agreed that in some key categories we will aim to ensure 100% of own brand range meets the 2012 salt targets.These categories have been identified as problem areas for salt within the industry or categories likely to be sold to the cost sector where hitting salt targets is essential.All future own brand New Product Development (NPD) within the key categories will aim to meet the 2012 salt targets.All future own brand NPD outside of the key categories will look to meet 2012 salt targets where possible, without jeopardising flavour and must meet 2010 targets.
