H2. Occupational Health Standards

Committed since:

1 October, 2014

Delivery plan:

Submitted: 29 April, 2015

There have been numerous standards created for addressing health risks in the workplace. The company has outlined what the minimum standards should be for addressing the following health risks:
Respiratory Health
Dermatitis and Skin Health
Noise and Vibration
Manual handling

These standards have been consulted on by the various contractors and stakeholders and adopted site-wide. Once the common standards have been agreed by the Safety, Health, Environment Leadership Team (SHELT) they are communicated to contractors. The Principal Contractor has to perform a degree of assurance that they are adopted on site. This is supported by Occupational Hygienists and the medical centre Occupational Health team through their activities.
