A3. Awareness of Alcohol Units, Calories & other information in the Off-trade
1 January, 2013
Submitted: 27 April, 2015
Please describe how you have promoted awareness of alcohol units, calorie content, NHS drinking guidelines and the associated health harms in the off-trade, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
We continue to work with our off-trade customers to explore joint opportunities to communicate unit information in stores. We have worked with BarSupermarket.com to make the WSTA ‘2-2-2-1’ unit materials available for licensees to download free of charge on their website which has around 5,000 visitors per month. In addition to this, in March 2015, Diageo has made a commitment to provide consumers around the world with alcohol content and nutrition information per typical serve – a first for any alcohol company. The intention is to provide this information through Diageo’s responsible drinking website DRINKiQ.com (www.DRINKiQ.com) and/or on-pack in a majority of Diageo’s markets subject to local regulatory approval, as soon as practicable
