We have a Stress at Work policy and a free, confidential employee assistance programme via an external provider. In response to the Trust's 'Our Changing Hospitals' reconfiguration programme we have provided training for our leaders and line managers over the last 12 - 18 months on how to maintain individual and team resilience during times of change and how to recognise and manage stress within their teams via quarterly briefings.
Manager referrals for work-related stress are reported to and monitored through the Health & Safety Committee, the Risk & Quality Committee and Trust Partnership. We intend to further raise awareness of and support for mental health in the workplace as part of our wider work on improving health & wellbeing awareness across the Trust.
